Let’s Think #Colombia

Colombia has followed the rich countries model like the USA or Canada in which they close the country as a strategy to handle the pandemic. The minister of health has been talking that the country will exponentially grow the cases to 4 million. I do know where he got those numbers because the country only has over 3000 positive cases, but my advice is that instead of talking about this potential numbers that are not real and that will create more fear based on an idea that is not real, is better to follow South Korea’s model where they create an online questionary to keep track of each citizen that feel has been infected.

These inventory allow for better distribution of the test and the medical community. I also suggested the Colombian President give each state governor the autonomy to handle the virus because it is absurd that only a few cities have a considerable amount of cases like Bogota, Cali, Medellin while other states like Bucaramanga, Cartagena, Santamarta that has no more than 10 cases and it is affiliating the economy unnecessarily.

Not allowing the people to move from state to state so we don’t lose the sacrifice to be locked for these weeks. The final observation that I did was that it is critical to change the quarantine model to a “common sense” model because there will be not enough money to bring food to the millions of people with donations. It is like a huge river that will grow to unstoppable limits. We need to get the people back to work. The next day after I sent the video to the President he decided to change the model and now start a common-sense model which is was fantastic. the only thing he forgot to design an ” exit plan” to protect the vulnerable.
